Collar widths are calculated at the centerpiece and taper at both ends.
Standard:
1" tapers down to 3/4"
1-1/2" tapers down to 1"
2" tapers down to 1-1/4"
Hound:
Hound widths have an accentuated curve, with a larger width difference between the centerpiece and the rest of the strap
Petite Hound: 1-1/2" tapers down to 3/4"
Hound:Â 2" tapers down to 1"
Custom Sizes
Each collar purchased with the "Custom Cork Collar" listing will be made to measure using the "neck size" information you provide when ordering. Room for adjustment will be provided on each side of this measurement.
You can also note a size range if your puppy is growing or if would like more adjustment.
The size chart is only used to determine pricing.
Perfect Fit
Our collars use a belt-type buckle and hardware closure.
By default, the eyelets will be set at every half inch for sizes Small and smaller, at every 3/4 inch for Small-Medium and Medium, and at every inch for Large collars and above.

You will find a space to write your dog's exact collar size in the listings. This information will allow us to set the eyelets appropriately to ensure a perfect fit.
Measuring Your Dog
Use a soft measuring tape (tailor's tape) and circle your dog's neck where his collar usually sits. Keep the tape loose enough for you to hold two fingers underneath it comfortably. If you don't have a measuring tape, you can simply use a piece of string or strip of paper, and mark your measurement with a knot or pencil stroke. You can then compare the length against a ruler.
